This year’s carnival will start on Saturday, 18th of February, when carnival participants will take over the keys of the town Split for 11 days period.

The center of Split will become alive again through many events related to carnival, such as various circus, dance and creative workshops, concerts and many other similar events.

Children’s carnival is scheduled for Saturday, 25th of February, and later that day we will also have a pets carnival, it must be a lot of fun. On Tuesday, 28th of February, carnival for kindergarten children will be organized at the Sports Center Gripe.

11 days after it all began, on Tuesday, 28th of February, the main event will take place in the city center. Carnival participants will enjoy concerts and other accompanying program on several locations of the city center. And the main event, famous reading of the sentence for ‘Krnjo’, a big puppet who is accused and sentenced for all the problems in the town, will take place at the Pjaca after which the carnival parade will continue to the waterfront where they will traditionally burn ‘Krnjo’.
